Playa Hermosa lies just north of Santa Teresa, and is known for its long, broad, nearly deserted beach, with a great beach break and point break for
surfing. Most of the Playa Hermosa area near the beach is owned by a handfull of people who have no interest in selling, which is keeping the area

Santiago is the area just up the hill, and most properties that are available near to Playa Hermosa are in Santiago. The prices are lower than Santa
Teresa, which is only a ten minute drive to the south. Playa Hermosa has few restaurants and hotels, but is the location for the southern Nicoya
Peninsula's best international school, making it a great area for families.
